Witchy old-school black metal. Cover says it all. You can hear the band shake the cobwebs off their gear. Vocals and guitar are solid, but the drummer is the one who stands out to me. And what do you know the Tolkien song is the best one on the album.

So after spending the better part of the last 2 years going as hard as possible at every extreme metal show I could on the US East Coast, you could say I'm burned out on death metal music lol. I'm sorry, but after seeing hundreds of great bands - shit just seems kind of same-y to me, you know? So it takes something really special to bring me back into the death metal fold. Fossilization are my boys & this is an amazing work of art. I cannot recommend it enough. Now... back to my Coltrane 😂🤣
